The frames and headboards do not come pre-assembled. One person can put together the Pecos Lite, Pecos and the Sleigh Bed. For the Mission and Ranch Style Beds we recommend having two people available. Sometimes it is good to simply have a helping hand.
You will need a #2 Phillips Screw Drive and a rubber mallet OR regular hammer. The bed is constructed with shoulder screws. The side rails and headboard are tapped lightly into place for a snug fit. A wood tapping block is provided for you and you can use this with block and a regular hammer.
Written directions are provided for you. We recommend becoming familiar with all the parts by first laying out all the pieces, then follow the basic assembly instructions step-by-step.
Our furniture making process
Our Platform Bed Frames are made in Albuquerque, NM at Nomad Furniture. When you order one of our platform beds we start the process of making it for you. Since each of our platform bed frames is available in different woods, different sizes, different head boards and foot boards and are made for different mattress thicknesses, each bed must be made to order.
What to remember when ordering our furniture
Our furniture does not come assembled. To save on shipping and to give our customers the satisfaction to help with the making of their bed we send all of our beds completely knocked down. It is fun and a challenge to put together one of our beds. All of our beds can be assembled in 15 to 30 minutes. The assembly process is fun but care must be taken and the project cannot be rushed. If you are unwilling to put together your bed you might want to look for a pre-assembled bed from another supplier. We have received many letters from young people to the elderly telling us that they not only assembled their bed successfully but how much they loved the process and appreciated Nomad Furniture’s quality workmanship.
Keep in mind that wood is a natural product which can vary in color, grain and texture and may have unusual shades. We do our best to match the wood in each part of the bed as best as possible. Unseen parts may have small defects.
We take care in packaging the parts carefully so that no damage will occur during shipping. We have shipped many boxes and rarely have any problems. It is in our, and your, best interest to make sure nothing will go wrong with our shipments.
As soon as FedEx or Ups delivers your order look for unusual damage to the box. If there is damage to the box take pictures before opening box. Open the box and take a look at the parts. Notice any damaged parts and take pictures before removing from box. We rarely have any damage to our beds as they are packed with years and years of experience.
If there are damaged parts
In the rare occasion when a part is damaged call us as soon as possible and email us with pictures of the damage. If we agree there is damage that is our fault we will replace or repair parts. If the damage is the result of the shipper we will need to have evidence to make a claim. In no case should you return the bed without authorization. If a bed is returned the buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs plus the cost of any parts damaged in shipping.
What tools do you need
To assemble one of our pieces of furniture you will need:
1. A #2 phillips head screwdriver, a battery operated screw gun is a plus.
2. A hammer and a block of wood to keep from denting the furniture, or a rubber mallet. When using a black rubber mallet put a baggie over it to keep from getting marks on the wood.
3. A friend or two is a real plus.
This platform bed is guaranteed to be free of defects in materials or craftsmanship. During the first 30-day any problem will be evident. Call for help and we can assist you in assessing the problem and get it fixed. After 60-days of normal use, send any part back that is defective and it will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the original owner up to 5-years. Please do hang onto your purchase order.

"So far I love the Pecos Lite frame. The finish and workmanship are exactly what I expected, it went together easily and snugly, and the resulting platform is very solid. What was a pleasant surprise was just how little material was used to create such a solid platform. There is nothing wasted with this frame, which is important to me, and it's super easy to transport because it's relatively compact and lightweight. All in all, I'm completely satisfied."
